Eclipsing the Pope

I have been igorning the whole hullaballoo about the special Pope solar eclipse that will be taking place during the nighttime in Rome. Why is it we can’t just celebrate the man and his accomplishments? Why do we have to add something to it to make it “special”? Which now leads me to NewsMax. I normally ignore the good folks at newsmax because they’re a bunch of whining ninnies who are a slice shy of a loaf. Unfortunately, in a fit of weakness I ended up at the Newsmax site, where I clicked on their pope and the eclipse link (maybe I was “led” to):

As NewsMax.com reported April 3, Saint’s Prophecy: Only Two Popes Remain, the 112th prophecy says, “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will reign Petrus Romanus (Peter the Roman), who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city [Rome] will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people,” an indication that the world will end.

People have been planning the end of the world for almost 2,000 years now. Not a single one of them has been correct yet. Which really isn’t my point. This is—The folks at Newsmax are nutjobs.
