Why it doesn’t matter if PS3 is better than XBOX 360

If you don’t have any games to play it really doesn’t matter which platform you use:

Strike possible as game makers, actors tussle

Contract talks between a coalition of publishers and the two main talent unions, the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, broke down Friday in a dispute over payments linked to game sales.

Both SAG and AFTRA have received authorization from their members to call a strike, and both said they would report back on the status of the talks to their governing boards.

...

Actors who appear in movies and television shows receive “residuals” when those works are subsequently shown again, like repeats of programs on television, and the talent unions want similar residuals for performers who work in games.

That effectively would mean payments to actors for each game sold, while the industry is adamant it will offer only up-front payment for services rendered.

How much are willing to pay for union-approved new games? I think the gaming companies will find new talent in other countries. Imagine that, another union forces American companies to outsource production—again.

I just like how Liz Phair characterized those who play Xbox.  What a creative lyricist....

Heh. Well, all I know is that I’d let her come sit and play Xbox on my floor.

She’s cute.

I even think she’s cute.  And I love that song.  Turned up.  Loudly.  With no children around, of course.

Heh,

On the other hand if they are force to use ‘scabs’ game prices might go down…

Not likely, but one can dream (ok, self delude)
