Song of the Day: The Queens of the Stone Age Edition

Think of this as my apology for that last post. It’s best enjoyed loud.

Not my favorite Queens album, but I love the song. There’s some fun guitar work in there, too.

Someday, I hope to again live someplace where I can do loud. I wonder what effects box he’s playing those squeaky leads through.

Where are you living right now, anyway? It’ll be good to see you this weekend.

Nice little apt. building. I can’t complain too much, because I benefit more from not hearing other tenants’ stereos than I would from cranking mine.

But sometimes, like this afternoon, revisiting Wish You Were Here, it’d be nice.

Not to mention the waste of a perfectly good Velodyne subwoofer.

I’m looking forward to this weekend too. Definitely time for it, and there’s too many folks I don’t see often enough. I noticed, while driving East on Alamo, a sign stating a parking lot could be used for the Old Mill.

Not sure Queens is my cup of tea. I put Lullabies to paralyze on hold at the library.

I’ve never been to the Old Mill. Is it a nice place?

And, yeah, it has been a long time since we all got together.

You might like a few of the songs here and there, but my bet would be that you wouldn’t want to buy many of their albums. I think they had two really great albums and that the others were a little uneven.

Now I have to listen to “Have a Cigar.” I blame you.

A little Pink Floyd never hurt anyone. smile

I’ve been to a restaurant that was in the Old Mill location, IIRC, before it was the Old Mill. We’re pretty much relying on Billllll’s recommendation here.

Sometimes, even I’m amazed at the music I end up liking. Little Sister is good. In my Head is better.
