Mr. Answer Doesn’t Know (And The Attention is a Little Unnerving)

Over the last few days, the site has seen search results come in from people wondering what might be the penalty for possession of crystal meth. All because of this sentence:

In essence, Advil is marijuana is crack is crystal meth is aspirin.

Let’s get this clear: Mr. Answer (who might very well know it all (or, at least, significant bits of it all)) doesn’t like the implication that he knows the answer to this question. It might be inviting the wrong sort of Web traffic to the hallowed halls of Resurrection Song, a site of exemplary exemplariness.

And, anyway, Mr. Answer always preferred the less harsh high of cocaine to the jarring highs and lows that came with crystal meth. Or so he’s heard…

So, Mr. Answer, answer me this:

When’s the next blogger bash?

TW: why — why not?

Mr. Answer is very quietly trying to figure that one out. It’s tough given that one of the regular organizers just had more diaper duties added to his “to do” list and that another regular shot drinker is due to learn the joys of diaper duties pretty freakin’ soon.

So, all that said, I’m thinking that it will have to be shortly after New Years. What do you think?

Okay, how cool is it that the ads for this virtual page are for coke rehab?

TW: Hey, where the hell is my turing word?

Shortly after New Years works for me.  Credit where it’s due, it was Roger Fraley who raised the issue today; I just brought it up here.

TW: issue — don’ gots.

If all these people landed on your blog because of that one single sentence it means that Google has found your page as being very relevant and it was probably in the top 20 results for meth searches. Maybe this isn’t such a bad thing. It’s quite a compliment to your work on this blog. The thing is I once wrote an article called narconon and the word appeared only once on an unranked page but somehow this search alone got me 235 visitors in one month. I was surprised and satisfied even if my page wasn’t in the first results on Google. This makes me think that at least 235 people were patient enough to go over almost one hundred results and land on my page. I like people with no other activities…
