Heheh. Actually I was doing something that I thought was obvious. And was very obviously wrong.
Remember on those old Saturday morning cartoons when the sheepdog and the wolf would come to work together? “Mornin’, Ralph.”
“Mornin’, Sam.”
Then the wolf would try to get the sheep and the sheepdog would find any number of fun ways to injure and otherwise thwart the efforts of the wolf. By the end of the cartoon, the wolf was all sorts of beat up, the whistle would blow, and the two animals would head toward the time clock.
Funny stuff.
I was living with a woman a while back who wasn’t a perfect fit, yet there were all these little things that seemed to make so much sense. One morning I said that to her and she, without missing a beat, answered, “Mornin’, Sam.” Then she giggled very cutely. Sharing a similar sense of humor makes some of the other stuff a lot easier.
And here, I was just going to comment with: “Mornin’, Sam.”
Because, you know, I got it. ;o)
One of the reasons I fell in love with DH™ is because he loves Bugs Bunny cartoons as much as I do. And my offhand “What a maroon! What a nincowpoop!” comment DIDN’T fly right over HIS head. ;o)

Even more cryptic than yesterday’s post. Or, you’re doing the subtitles from Japanese video games.

Anyway…
Come to think of it, that was probably a coyote.
Now, I must make it obvious…
Nope, it was a wolf.
Sam Sheepdog and Ralph Wolf.

Dammit, I’ve been repeatedly beaten to “Mornin’ Sam.”
Margi, ‘member the Bugs Bunny cartoon that had Mussolini, Emperor Hirohito and Hitler?
Craig, that’s what happens when you show up late to class.
I remember one where Hitler threw a tantrum, but I’m not sure if that was the same one.
I liked the ones with Pepe LePew where even the cat (French) he fell in love with said ”LeMew, LeMeow.”
I loved these, too, Z. Even as a kid, I understood the humor of civility where required, but work was work.
I love this one! Thanks for posting, it brings back great memories of Saturday morning cartoons.
Of course, now that I see the pic, it makes me think of how Democrats & Republicans interact with each other every day.
Damn politics.
Heh. Isn’t that the truth?
I think I’m typically looking a little more like the wolf at the end of the day. And that isn’t a good thing.

Was that the one set in the sleepy little French village of Nasty Pass (N’est-ce Pas in the original French)?
