“McCain 2 Old” Billboard in Cleveland
"McCain 2 Old” Billboard in Cleveland
Apparently, this is what the left considers relevant political discourse:

I saw this billboard on my drive to work this morning. It is located on I-77 North just south of Cleveland (immediatley before the I-490/I-71 split). It is located so that everyone driving in to Cleveland from the South will see it. The picture isn’t great because I took the picture with my camera phone as I drove by in the far left lane. Here is the full picture:

I’ll let this picture speak for itself.

Obnoxious. Still better than this. http://www.digtriad.com/news/features/article.aspx?storyid=112097&catid=216
Agreed, that is pretty freakin’ obnoxious.
Probably seen by a lot fewer people than the email going around, that I have received from many apparently gullible and/or stupid people, hinting that Obama is the anti-Christ, while making ridiculous claims such as the Book of Revelation saying anything about Muslims rising to power.
Now that reality has rescued me from my former political stances, and I once again find both parties generally ridiculous with no desire to defend either, it amuses me to watch the right and left point fingers at one another, without ever noticing they both have dirty hands.
I long for my mail-in ballot to arrive so I can be done with the whole affair.
Mine just came, Andy. I’m writing “the one who isn’t a goddamn communist who’ll take my tax money and blow it on giving subsidized whiskey and hookers to bankers” across the presidential selections and mailing it back.
I wonder who they’ll pick?
He is old. There are things about how he looks, that if I were Cindy I would be concerned. I’m old, I know how even a non-life threating health problem can wreck havoc on your body and prematurely age it. Many mornings I feel like that billboard. I don’t see the billboard as obnoxious, but tasteless.
I know the boomers want to think that 60 is the new 40, but their bodies know better and gravity is a fact.
That does not mean that I think he should not pursue the presidency, but I think those who vote for him, should consider the what if; Sarah Palin becomes president.
Yes, I am agree, it is tasteless. I hope, that Obamas’ campaign did not paid for it!
I am respect McCain because of his age and so sorry for him that in such an old age he putts himself through such a stress. However, the vision of Sara Pelin becomes a President makes me sick in a stomach and feel… I wonna die!!!!… before that nightmare would be materialize.
Good and Merciful G-d save our souls from the obvious hell, pleaaase!
I am cannot allowed myself to vote for their ticket just because I am sorry for his frugality.
Because.
MY LIFE is in a stake in here.
Andy, so far, the Obama’s only fault is that his colour mismatches for the American general populous.
The rest of his intentions for the country are what is needed for it for soooo long time…
it is even ridiculous why no one can see it! I can not believe it!
Americans - go to the opthemologist to fix your vision!
Its about a time.
In fact!
You are running out of time.
lera, Obama’s intentions? What would those be? Obama has lied about his own past, and reversed his own positions, so often that there can not be a more meaningless line than “Obama’s intentions”.
So where’s the billboard with the Messiahs picture on it that says “TOO RED!”
I was going to do one that said “Obama: Too Much of a Typical Chicago Politician, If You Know What I Mean. If You Don’t Know What I Mean, I’m Talking About Corrupt Chicago Politicians. You Know, the Whole Chicago Machine Thing. Jeez.”
But it seems like it might be hard to read at highway speeds.
Perhaps a billboard isn’t quite your style, sir. Perhaps I could interest you in this available number from Burma Shave?
Heheh.
So, how’s the noggin?
Head sore. Neck sore. People who have been through this tell me that part will go on for some time. I’m now allowed to drive the truck. No 2-wheelers of any sort until January. Finally got my bike back. The seat is bent, but otherwise the bike seems undamaged.
I’m glad you’re okay--at least relatively. I can’t believe that there wasn’t more damage to the bike, though.
Me neither. I was going to put it on the rack and check it out, but my daughter just moved, and parked her 250 Ninja in part of the real estate I planned to use. To add insult to injury, she didn’t leave the key in it either.
I would have expected a child of yours to be more thoughtful than that.
Me too. I think she’s in league with her mother. Of course the Dr. was pretty adamant about me not banging my head again, accidentally or on purpose.
What? You’re going to go and trust a doctor? I say you’re just as hard-headed as ever so you probably don’t have much to worry about.
Of course, with Zomby’s Free Medical Advice you get exactly what you pay for…
Sorry ‘bout that, must have nodded off there. Yes, I consider the Drs advice exactly that: advisory. I was also told by someone who had been through the same thing, that he may actually have a point, so the pro motocross circuit will have to wait ‘till spring.
OTOH, if I can get mother-in-laws furnace repaired in time, I’m going shooting tomorrow night.
Yeah, I used to use that medication too. Gave it up in fairly short order.
All I can say is that billboard is so disgusting and obnoxious
As I understand it, McCain is younger than when Ronald Regan served during his first term. Put things in perspective?
Also, can McCain do anything about his age? No.
This billboard is a serious form of discrimination. Imagine an employer telling a job candidate they are “2 old.”
Better yet, can Obama do anything about the color of his skin? No.
So why would it be unreasonable to have a billboard that reads “Obama, 2 black?”
Does this put things in perspective?
Let’s ferret out who is responsible for that billboard and consider pressing discrimination charges. How to put a value on it? Monitor the traffic and determine number of people viewing, like website impressions. The lawsuit settlement would be tabulated by the estimated number of impressions.
Time to put someone out of business...for good.
