Kids These Days…
I suppose we should be thankful that kids these days can’t shoot straight, but I’m disappointed in the extreme by the obvious lack of range time that would have yielded far better (and worse) results.
Call me conflicted. Which is, for most people, probably easier to remember than “Ishmael.”

He might have hit the bus if he hadn’t been holding the gun sideways.
Nice.
I think that the lesson we all need to learn is to not trust Hollywood movies to teach us proper shooting techniques.
OK, I know a pistol is harder to aim accurately, but he missed a bus?
They say they don’t have a description of the guy. I’m guessing that it includes huge, yet still inadequate, Coke-bottle glasses.
Nah, he was probably distracted by grabbing for his waistband in an effort to keep his pants from falling down. A slave to fashion, don’t you know.
Ye gods, man. He missed a bus. Safest place to be in front of this yahoo would be in front of him, no more than 10 yards downrange.
And it’s not Hollywood that’s to blame for the holding-gun-sideways-looks-cool crap. That garbage started spontaneously in L.A., right alongside the spray-and-pray mentality. Hollywood was just the mirror in this instance.
Put one Marine straight out of boot against 20 gangbangers, even with the lousiest range scores ever recorded on Parris Island, and that Marine walks out alive with 20 filled bodybags behind him.
