Jeepers and other Faux Harsh Words
After three calls to Comcast tech support--which proved that they are very nice and eager to be helpful, but I know at least as much about networking and network devices as they do--and the purchase of a new cable modem, I am once again connected to my lifeline of digital information. Since I lease a modem from them, I could have waited for them to send one out; since I have a looming deadline on one of my freelance projects, I couldn’t wait.
So, now that I’m back, let me jump right back into important pronouncements and stuff:
Anwar deserved to go. It was for the best.
Next week, it had better be Anthony…

Anwar was actually pretty good, but disco just fit Scott’s voice too well. I loved how Bo handled the “join the top group” request, that was classy.
Hey, and did you hear that Paula has been acting stupid this season because she’s actually been high? She’s been on pain killers for chronic back pain.
I agree--Anwar wasn’t bad, but he needed to be either pretty good or charismatic, and he was neither. It was a shame as he was one of my early favorites. Scott surprised me. I really thought that this would be his week to go, and then he came out and sang and performed really well. It was shocking.
I’m starting to like Bo for making it into the last two or three on the show--at least if he keeps doing as well as he did night before last. That was a great performance followed by, I agree, a classy move.
Now, about Paula--is that true or is it just one of those Internet things? If it’s true, then I might sort of owe her an apology, but she really shouldn’t have been on the show if all she could add was a half-stoned “dude, do you know how much I love you?” style running commentary.
It’s not just an internet thing. People magazine has an article coming out where she says that her weird behavior is not due to pain pills. Translation: I’m high as a kite!
