Good Morning
PS-- In case you were wondering, the new toaster oven in the break room works exceptionally well. I mean, that cinnamon-sugar sprinkling on the bagel was warmed to a freakin’ molten glow when I tried to pull it out. And you know how that cinnamon-sugar sprinkling is when it’s warmed to a molten glow: it creates a molecular bond with skin so that it can wreak its molten glowy badness in the most painful possible way.
Ouch.

Always good on Fridays, Z. Always.
I’ll give a good, hearty amen to that.
I bought a new car last night. So, I feel a mix of panic over how much my next car payment will be, and delight over the “open road” possibilites.
But I am also just on coffee #1.
I quit smoking 5 days ago. I feel like crap.
I like monkeys.
I mean, I am doing well.
Also, got any advice on laptops?
Jo, congratulations. You should tell us all about it!
Trench, I feel your pain. Hopefully your lungs will thank you in short order.
Andy, monkeys are tasty, but I can’t help you so much with the laptop. My next one is going to be Apple branded. My second-hand Gateway seems to be doing just fine, though.
Never touch the orange glowy parts of the toaster.

And that’s my new car.
I like it more today then when I test drove it. The Saab design really grows on you.
I love lamp.
Andy,
I’ve had my Dell Inspiron 1000 for nearly a year, got it for $740, and it still does everything I ask it to. My friend the computer nerd (has a Ferrari laptop) said straight-out that he was very impressed with my computer, especially considering the price.
It’s got a good graphics card, decent RAM. Enough to play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which isn’t a lightweight game, although it can’t handle Madden 2005.
