Excuses and Stuff

Reasons writing is light today:

  1. The dog ate my server.
  2. Potential, impending career doom does dampen the spirit somewhat.
  3. Hurricanes seem far more important than mocking Kos or Oliver Willis today.
  4. Jeff Goldstein still does it better than I do.
  5. I’m trying to kick the caffeine habit and the crankiness is running neck-and-neck with the urge to snooze.
  6. Continued disappointment in the lack of groupies.
  7. Sudden realization that no matter how brilliant I am, people still don’t do what I tell them to do.
  8. All the good post titles have been taken.
  9. Michael Moore has been strangely silent lately, leading to an increased sense of pop culture paranoia in Zombyville.
  10. Sudden plummet in Ecosystem standing has left my blogging will broken and bruised.

Anyway, thanks for all the well wishes, thoughts, and humorous comments.

I’ll be back later.

Well, that sucks.  Sorry to hear about your trials.  No matter what happens or whatever the Ecosystem thinks… I think you rock.

Well dang, ZB. Sorry to hear it. Wish I had some contacts for you, but my network is kaput these days.

As Jerry said ... bigger and better.

Ah, to be honest, I’m not really worried about what’s going to happen this week (and there is no guaranty one way or the other), I’m just really anxious to see how it all plays out.

In some ways it might even be a good thing. It’s hard to say.

Oh, and as for that drop in the ‘sphere, I was just kidding. I mean, I really have dropped, but it hasn’t made me want to stop blogging. I’ve got about ten things written up, but I haven’t had the time to put them into something worth reading.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Sudden plummet in Ecosystem standing has left my blogging will broken and bruised.

I’ve been noticing the TTLB link graph for my blog has been up and down like those two on the mattress in the earlier post. It’s just unrealistic to think links can disappear and reappear like that, and I think Bear needs to see to his scripts (again).

Heh. Yeah, I think I lost something like fifty or sixty links in a single day some time last week.

Which would be one of the more impressive de-linking campaigns in the short history of the blogosphere.

So you didn’t get a voucher for a groupie?

I feel so left out…

a) the ecosystem has been wonky lately, as NZ Bear has been tweaking things.

b) I hope the job situation works out. This is not the time you want to be out on the employment line (unless you’re looking for construction work in the Gulf Coast).

c) They give vouchers for those?!? Man, things sure have changed from when I was single.
