Designer Complaints

I just wrote, and deleted, two long posts discussing logo design (and the need for simplicity) and system navigation design (and catering to the complaints of the few). I then decided that this was just mindless complaining--a couple posts that wouldn’t do anyone any good.

But damn, I’m feeling frustrated today.

What amazes me most about this is that such topics have been post-worthy in your life for a very long time…

Longer than I’ve been blogging, for instance…

Too bad you deleted them… I’m suddenly interested in everything design and accessibility. Which is odd, because I suck at design, and discussions of accessibility used to make me look anxiously for nearby exits.

Maybe next time I’ll push them out, anyway. See, the tough thing is that I really do want to keep my work life separated from my blogging life. Some days it’s tough.

Rae

Now that, keeping your work life separated from your blog life, would be an excellent topic about which to blog.

:D

Here’s my Lucy 5cents Peanuts worth:  I think keeping the two separate is the frustrating part and only makes you feel like half a person. I also think that Rae is right in that it would be an interesting topic to write about, especially considering how much time people spend at work/jobs where they feel they can’t be themselves anyway, so why not let it all hang out all of the time.  I think people are more interesting this way anyway. Let it out, man. We’re listening.
