Indeed it does. It’s amazing how much I couldn’t concentrate on blogging while I was trying to find a new job.

You’re the third person that I know of who’s gotten a new job in the last few days.  The economy must be doing pretty well.

Excellent!  The little raise ain’t bad, either.  Despite a few weeks of stress over future income, it looks like it turned out okay.
Erm, you do think you’ll enjoy this job, right?

You gonna come out to Oahu and let me buy you a beer to celebrate?  All you need is airfare and a rental car (for your own mobility needs).

I’ll drink to the economy right now. Honestly, there were a lot of opportunities in my area; the only limiting factor, honestly, was competition and my own resume (no degree).

I’m pretty happy.

Oh, and, yeah, I’m looking forward to the job. There are going to be some significant challenges, but that isn’t an entirely bad thing. I need challenges to keep me engaged.

Yep, we needs us some challenges to feel useful.
I’m glad you are looking forward to it, because I think I remember seeing hints that you were growing less satisfied with your previous job.  Although the jump came earlier than planned, you seem to have effected a soft landing, and I’m glad it’s one you can enjoy.
