Congratulations Miami Dolphins
Still, undeniably, the worst team in the NFL for 2008, but they avoided setting a record that may well have stood as long as their “Perfect Season” record has managed to stand. A winless season would have made this once great franchise the butt of jokes for years to come.
Good win, guys. Congratulations.

Odd bunch, the Ravens. They had the Pats right by the short-n-curlies, then turn around and lose to the ‘Fins.
It would be safe to assume that I didn’t take the Dolphins in the weekly football pool.
Not a great football year for me. I’m already looking forward to diverting my attention fully to the NHL.

Yeah, because finishing up 1 and 13 will stop the jokes cold. I was going to mock them - but now I see they came to play.
Once, anyway.
Is it me, or is some of the Miami celebration a bit fatuous. There was a quote from some Miami player about how they had shown up those who were rooting for a winless record season. Hey, guys, you didn’t accomplish anything to celebrate, you just managed to embarrass yourselves less.
Robert, 1-15 is the kind of thing that fades with time. 0-16 taints you forever. Or, at least, that’s how I see it.
Robin, they looked like idiots celebrating that lone, shining moment in their season. They should have been apologizing for the previous 13, not celebrating like they’d actually proved something.
Exactly, a dignified slink back to the locker room would have been more appropriate.
I yield to your superior knowledge of the nuances found at the bottom end of the “loser” spectrum.
