As a Christian and as a Republican…

...Can I tell you just how embarassing this is to me?

I would like to concur with you. I would also like to grab that idiot and beat him about the head and shoulders.

That does have a nice ring to it…

I also comcur. At least he’s only a State Senator. That’s like one step up from dog catcher. I suggest beating him about the face and neck with a sack of doorknobs.

Will this get more or less traction than the Kennedy brat saying Mississippi was going to get punished by Katrina because of its sin of supporting Bush, the Non-Signer of the Kyoto Treaty?

on Sep 28 2005 @ 03:56 PM

More, probably (but not fairly).

"Warnings year after year by godly evangelists and preachers went unheeded.”

Were those warnings on sandwich boards?  ‘Cause I always heed them.  You wouldn’t want to get to close to anyone with one of them, so you should really pay attention.

“Twinkle Andress, executive director of the Alabama Republican Party....”

And now we’re into “A Boy Named Sue” territory.  I guess all that toughening up warps your mind.

It might be time to treat these folks the way the Real-WAC (Mountain West Conference) treated the University of Hawaii.  So who could we invite into the party to distract them while we decamp?

I’m hoping to graduate from blogging to my very own sandwich board some time next year. I’ll take advertising and everything.

I’m a little short on “message,” though, if you know what I mean.

on Sep 29 2005 @ 10:49 AM

I don’t know, ZB, your “Can’t get the hang of Thursdays” is a pretty fine Sandwich Board message in my opinion.

Doug,
We U of Hawaii Alumni are still rather sore at that shabby treatment.  Thanks for bringing up that sensitive point again.

This is the “will of allah” kind of crap.  Does this moron know that he is in agreement with some of those muslim fundamentalists.

Well, anything to make people happy, I suppose.  8-)

So I suppose I shouldn’t bring up the Islanders either?  I actually lived on Oahu for a while, and watched several ‘Bows games and quite a few Islanders games at Aloha stadium.  I understand your pain, but might have made the same decision.  (Could it still be econ if someone weren’t miserable?)

Come to think of it, UH Colorado Springs (UH Manoa Really East?) has a certain something....

on Sep 29 2005 @ 04:03 PM

Doug,
It’s all good.  Actually, I don’t remember the Islanders… Football?

on Sep 29 2005 @ 05:43 PM

Hawaii Islanders of the Pacific Coast League (AAA baseball).  That would be the Colorado Springs Sky Sox now.  (Which is where the joke ... oh, never mind.)

Jeez, the kids these days....

8-)

Oh, baseball!

I stopped caring about baseball after the 1985 season.
