American Idol: The Getting Closer to the End Edition (Updated)
It’s elimination night.
All I’ve got to say is this: toldja.
It was almost the bottom three that I expected (although I could have put Syesha or Jason Castro down there instead of Brook White), and I elimination didn’t surprise me at all. Barring a miracle, I think I know who is going home next week, too, since I doubt that she’ll be saved by the miraculous intervention of another country-oriented theme week.
Girl notes: “They should have voted Paula off.”
Girl is smart.

Dolly Parton is over 60. Went to look up how old she was on Wikipedia while she was on and I caught the entry in the midst of being vandalized, with “Big Boobs” written everywhere. Refreshed the screen and it was fixed. Your earlier entry about AI made me think of it.
You should have taken a screen cap--I’ve never seen a Wikipedia page in the midst of being vandalized. I’m amazed at how quickly they seem to catch and clean up the worst stuff.
What struck me, while Dolly sang, was that while her voice was still emotive, her face wasn’t. She can still smile, but it lack “colors” as Paula would say. Shut up, it works. It really took a bit away from her ability to perform. At least in HD.
Dolly in HD was scary. That’s the unfortunate thing about HD - some things just shouldn’t be seen that clearly.

I guess I’m happy that I don’t have HD TV. Who knew?
