A Life of Zomby, Part 1
Can you guess the era? Can you guess the place? I’ll tell you this much, as a young Zomby, I had the opportunity to see a part of the world that many Americans never will and, likely, have little desire to experience.
I have, indeed, lived a blessed life.

Those look like ruins behind you, and I think I see Spanish Moss hanging from the trees. Given that you said it’s someplace remote, I’m guessing it’s Central American Mayan ruins, couldn’t tell you exactly where tho.
Ruins is correct. I don’t think it’s Spanish moss, but I could be wrong. Not so much remote as it is unusual for a vacation spot.
You’re on the right track, but you’ve gone in the wrong direction. I don’t want to give too explicit of a hint: it’s been in the news lately and the current administration isn’t making a lot of friends there.
Sadly, over the last mumble mumble decades, the slides haven’t held up. The quality and clarity isn’t what it should be--that probably makes it a little harder.
Duh, must be Israel.
Well, damn. That was too easy for you.
Why not visit Israel? Other than fear of political violence, I mean. Is that it? I think the odds are not all that bad there.
There’s no really strong reason to not visit. Even the political violence is largely overstated. Still doesn’t seem to pop up on most peoples’ wish list for some reason.
And, let me tell you, it should. Israel is amazing.
