It wouldn’t be telling much of a secret to let y’all know that I keep my birthdays sort of quiet. I’m not the sort to do big celebrations, I don’t like surprise parties, and some of my least pleasant memories revolve around my special days. So I tend to hide a little bit.

But it’s hard not to feel a little special when people remember, or when your buddy gives you the gift of music, or when your fellow bloggers drop by to give you well wishes and a little ribbing. It’s even harder to avoid feeling like a heck of a guy when Mr. Lady says such nice things. In fact, my blush response is working overtime.

I’m all twitterpated now.

When someone gets to ResurrectionSong via Google search, I generally consider that search to be a question of sorts. Today, instead of thinking of that search as a question, I’m thinking of it as a statement (and not a very pretty statement, at that).

Mr. Answer doesn’t really know what you’re looking for, ma’am, but he hopes you find it in a safe, clean, and reasonably price manner. Remember the key to any business: customer service.

1. That click and shutter sound that my Mac makes when I take screen caps. (Cmd-Shift-4 and a little bump on the space bar is my preferred method. Only losers use cmd-shift-3.)
2. My girlfriend. Okay, that probably isn’t much of a secret, but it never hurts to say it.
3. Danny from So You Think You Can Dance. Okay, but not in the way you’re thinking—the simple truth is that he is one of the most beautiful dancers I’ve ever seen. His lines, his control, and his grace are, to my untrained eyes, something special. The g-phrase digs him, too. In precisely the way that you think.
4. Old Vince Gil songs. Although I’m pretty sure he re-defined the term “sellout” with that song that he sings with the Fruit of the Loom underwear guys. I cringe whenever I see that in a movie theater.
5. The smell of the fresh ink right after a print job has run.
6. WW II era styles. From cars to clothes, it seems like everything from that time had personality. Too much of our world is bland; good design makes everything a little more interesting.
7. Long series of numbers that seem random (but probably aren’t):
