Breaking News on Fox
Lebanon's government has resigned.
"I am keen that the government will not be a hurdle in front of those who want the good for this country. I declare the resignation of the government that I had the honor to head. May God preserve Lebanon," Karami said.
The curious thing will be to see what coalition of interests rises next to lead the Lebanese government.
Read the story.
Update: Of course, Jeff has the funniest take on the developing situation. But you knew that already, didn't you?
And Shawn's optimism seems to be playing out rather nicely.

20 years from now when Democracy has spread throughout the Middle East we'll hear liberals say that Bush was just "in the right place at the right time" like they now say about Reagan.
I would bet that you're right--luckily, we'll still have smug, knowing, looks on our faces that tells them that we know better. We can be awfully irritating that way...
Yes, and in twenty years, one of my girls will be a prominent conservative journalist who will recall that Bush was stalwart and resolute, not a pawn of happenstance.
"Train up a child in the way she should go...."
P.S. There isn't much that Shawn writes that I don't go, "Huh, that's true! Why didn't I think of that?" sometimes while laughing me arse off.
20 years from now they'll say Bush was a moderate compared to Schwarzenegger Junior. And they'll cruise around in their flying cars, with 3d bumperstickers that say "Schwarzenegger Junior is worse than Hitlerbot!" I'm going to watch Futurama now.
