Ava Ark (Stumpjumper)

Because it's Friday, I have another hour and a half of work, and I'm bored. These are pictures of my wife's cat, Ava, taken from a camera phone. For the Friday Ark.

Ava is gorgeous! We have a male, Sam, that looks very much like her. The official name of that kind is a Blue Mackeral Tabby (the dark point and the rings on the tail, the tiger type stripes, and I bet she's a lovely warm creamy color on her underbelly?). The common reference is: barn kitty.

Ours is one of the most affectionate cats we have ever owned-very smart, too.

R says he dreads the day that Sam dies. I am very attached to him. He's like my vicarious son, or something. However, as he is only five, I think we have a long time to go before he...goes.
