'Cause Some Things Don't Suck

I have a shipment on the way from Amazon.com and I am happy. No, actually, happy isn't a good enough word: I'm ecstatic.

I am moving toward completing my Screaming Trees collection. I have all of the albums, singles, and bootleg live concerts. I have the songs that they made for a demo before they broke up and even managed to collect most of the songs that were on compilations or soundtracks (like their cover of the Youngbloods' "Darkness, Darkness").

What I didn't have was their album, Clairvoyance. Clairvoyance. has been out of print for years and was only released on vinyl--until now.

Thank you, Amazon and thank you to the label, Hall of Records, for making it possible for me to complete my collection.

I'm downright giddy. It could well be horrible, but, for an obsessive person like me, ownership is a necessity--and hearing Mark Lanegan's voice before the intervening 18 years of smoking, drugs, drinking, and hard living is a bit of a trip.

How coincidental!

We have a package on it's way to our home from amazon.com, too. Only it's filled with literature and resources about The Middle Ages/Medieval Times.
