resurrectionsongSeptember 28, 2004Hitting Below the BeltHow does this ad strike you?
The ad literally portrays Musgrave as sneaking up behind a soldier, picking his wallet out of his back pocket, and stealing money from the wallet. The message could be completely accurate (although it isn't, but that's beside point) but the method of delivering that message is completely below the belt. While I'm all for the idea of playing rough when it comes to campaigns, I'm also for at least some sense of decorum. This kind of dramatized ad just leaves me cold. It would have the same result regardless of the party affiliations involved. Check out the ad (links to a QuickTime movie). Comments
I saw that ad on TV last night. That one was way over the top. Posted by: Craig at September 29, 2004 06:10 AMSeen it. And while I generally loathe Musgrave, I too thought it was a bit much. Posted by: andy at September 29, 2004 10:13 AM |
