resurrectionsongAugust 31, 2004TechnoLustI need a new iMac. Neeeed, I tell you. (This post may go far in explaining why I have a hard time staying out of debt.) Posted by zombyboy at August 31, 2004 09:45 AMComments
Now, if only a certain piece of software were to be ported to the Mac, I would have to seriously look at making the switch. Posted by: Jerry at August 31, 2004 10:09 AMWhen it comes to computing gadgets, I can pretty much rationalize myself right into more debt. Damnit. I sure like the Macs, but unfortunately, my work requires a WinDoze machine. But who knows. Maybe I'll win lotto and get me a shiny new Mac - just because I CAN! Posted by: Emma at August 31, 2004 10:31 AMI guess I just don't get the aesthetic pull of the Mac. I can build a machine that would turn that Mac into a pile of smoldering plastic, for about 1/2 the cost. Posted by: Shad0runr at August 31, 2004 10:57 AMBut it wouldn't be even half as cool. Posted by: Jerry at August 31, 2004 11:52 AMCool is a nice thing. Honestly, the iPod didn't appeal to me until I saw that the mini came in some really feminine colors (pink cheeked) like keylime and ice pink. Then I investigated the cost and considered the gargantuan amount of music it can carry. Sigh.....I am a girl through and through. Posted by: Rae at August 31, 2004 01:11 PMP.S. I personally prefer Mac to a PC. When we owned a Mac, I could take anything done on a PC and open it in my Mac, but (at the time, at least) couldn't do the reverse. That greatly appealed to me. Alas, when one is given a brand new computer by someone who prefers PC's, one doesn't stop to check teeth. Posted by: Rae at August 31, 2004 01:13 PMWoah, it's like a TabletPC, except with an unwieldy keyboard and a mouse attached. ;) Sadly, Zomby, no matter how small they make the PC, you'll always need at least one hand when surfing for porn. Posted by: andy at August 31, 2004 05:45 PMOh, I'm sure somebody's working on a peripheral that'll free up that other hand. And if they're not... Hey, anybody want to put up some cash for R&D? Posted by: McGehee at August 31, 2004 07:17 PMOh man, I can see the Google hits for this one now... Posted by: zombyboy at August 31, 2004 07:21 PM |
