resurrectionsongAugust 30, 2004A Quiet VictoryDe Doc is right. We should all be celebrating an Olympics without terrorist attacks--we should all be smiling at the thought of this quiet victory in our war. And we should certainly be praising the hard work of all those people who made it happen. Amen, Doc. (PS-- McGehee noticed the same thing. Mostly.) I was too busy watching the women play beach vollyeyball to think of much else. My mistake. I should have given more credit to the many people who worked so hard to keet the games safe (for beach volleyball). Posted by: zombyboy at August 30, 2004 01:06 PMSomebody remind me to take my camera with me on my next trip out toward Senoia. In a little town in between, there's a Barbie-doll game of Olympic women's beach volleyball next to the highway. Women's Beach Volleyball is best viewed on the Spanish-speaking cable channel--there is way more emphasis on close-ups of the behind-the-back hand signals.
