Reminder to All of Us

Vigilance is a necessity. As I said, the terrorists aren't through with us yet, and Michelle Malkin kindly points out a story that bears watching.

But, for the Democrats, the only thing we have to "fear is four more years of George W. Bush."

I don't understand how things like this can fall through the cracks. How can this kind of thing not be on the TV news stations? Are they afraid of libel or slander? Are they afraid there's a chance they'll dirty this guy's good name?

Maybe what we need is a little security-related panic. And this is just the kind of news story to spark it.

Or do we have to wait until another attack before we pay attention to things like this?

I just don't get it.

I don't see this as a big story, actually. Well, not in the sense of 9/11 big, anyway, but perhaps in the sense of lone wacko gunman big. Look at the guy, his history, his drug use, and his demeanor (as best can be judged) and he strikes me as just a kook who might have gotten stopped before he did something bad.

I could be wrong, of course.
