Apple Makes iPod Better

The next gen full-sized iPod is out, and it looks awfully darned nice to me.

The 15 gig version is gone, but the 20 gig version is now $100 less than it was previously--it now lists for $299. The battery life is up to 12 hours (and it recharges when plugged into your computer), the already tiny size has been reduced just a tad, and the control wheel was replaced by the same touch-sensitive wheel first seen on the iPod Mini.

Steve Jobs may be on the wrong side of my own personal political fence, but his company sure does make gadgets that I lust after.

OK, OK already. I guess this really cuts into my last argument against buying an ipod, price.

I guess I will end up buying one now.

I don't have one yet--I was waiting for the prices to come down, too. This will probably be this year's birthday present to myself, and I'll give my old, smaller MP3 player to the ZombyChick.
