Oooh...We Showed Them Saudis (OpinionEngine)

Somebody please tell me there's a typo in this story. Is it really worth a headline and full article that our silly House legislators voted to remove $25,000 in military training aid from a 2005 foreign aid bill totaling $19.4 billion? I hope it's really closer to $25 million as that would be worth mentioning and more likely to register a miniscule insult to the Royal Family.

Even if it's $25 million, I'm sure the wealthy oil lords are snickering to themselves, especially since they just approved a multi-billion dollar security contract with a French company to protect its borders.

The removal of the Saudi aid still has to be voted on by the Senate, but I say it's a waste of time unless we're talking about military action. As shared with ZombyBoy, I'm guilty of imperialistic thoughts and the belief that smacking Saudi Arabia should have been step two in the War on Terrorism. If the democrats really want to win over some Republican votes they would add this to the platform and stop high-fiving each other over withholding the world's allowance money.
