Is There a Translator in the House?

It's fun when the site gets linked from foreign language sources. And since my Spanish extends to "Ich spreche Espanol pretty darned good", I have no idea what is being said.

I can catch a word here and there, but the overall concepts are skipping jovially right past me. If anyone can read the site and finds that they've said something interesting, let me know.

Curiosity is one of my vices. Along with impatience, arrogance, Jaeger shots, and grilled cheese sandwiches at the Falling Rock.

As for grilled cheese at the Falling Rock--it's usually accompanied by too much beer, it's got to be swimming in calories and cholestorol, and, well, actually that's about it.

It's an experience.

I am trying to make it possible to attend the get together May 28 (sorry, Stephen G. still not gonna tart, but will accept free drinks), is this Falling Rock not around anymore, or has SJ moved and it's proximity is what he misses?

You are correct, Rae, Akron does have the (dubious?) distinction of being the rubber capitol of the world. Both Firestone and Goodyear were headquartered here during their heyday. I believe that one (Goodyear?) has moved their corporate offices elsewhere, but I'm not sure.

I must confess that I heard from a comedian at a comdey club in college. I had heard the guy in another club, The Funny Bone in St. Louis, previously, and it was the same act. So, I happen to remember that from hearing him twice. Says a bit about his act, eh, that all I can remember is that Akron is the rubber capitol of the world. I avoided his act when it came through again.

My linguistics studies in college pay off...

Without going back and translating all of it, the various commenters are discussing how horrific the Berg video is, and someone recommends seeing the whole video. A link to Samablog is posted, but it doesn't work, so it's suggested that they go through Resurrectionsong's link to see it.
