Indymedia: Encouraging Idiocy Around the World

This from the Manila chapter of Indymedia:

Filipino anti-war activists disrupted the presentation of a visiting Iraqi Governing Council (IGC) minister in a business forum, calling her a "collaborator" and an "illegitimate" representative of the Iraqi people.

The forum, entitled "Rebuilding Iraq: Challenges and Opportunities for Business," was organized by the Asian Institute of Management, a graduate school for business, and the German foundation Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. It was attended mostly by academics and businessmen.
[...]
"We Filipinos, like the Iraqis, are very hospitable and gracious hosts," said Milette Morante of Kilusang Pambansang Demokrasya, one of the women who disrupted the meeting. "But like the Iraqis who do not welcome the occupying forces, we Filipinos do not welcome collaborators in our country."

Allow me to translate for those not familiar with Indymediese:
Down with imperialist scum puppets! Go back to Iraq, evil capitalists! We Filipinos are very hospitable. Iraqis don't want freedom--they want the legitimate dictatorship and the strong father figure that only Saddam can provide!

Even worse, speaking for the Iraqi Solidarity Campaign, these people are more than happy to support the terrorist efforts to break the will of the coalition. Terrorist acts that include bombing mosques, killing policemen, businessmen, politicians, women, and children. Terrorist acts that include terrorizing the very people that they are, inexplicably, supposed to be helping by convincing the coalition to leave the rebuilding effort half done.

Idiots.

Read the story.

I've reached the point of exasperatrion with these people. They sound the sam eno matter where you go in the world. No historical perspective.
They have a such a twisted notion of good and evil. I give up. I can't even find the words to express what it is about them that exactly bugs me. I'll borrow a frequently used word from one of my readers who often disagres with me. ...sigh...
