resurrectionsongApril 27, 2004Spot the Reputable SourceToday there was an interesting bit of unrest in Syria, and articles are starting to trickle out about the nature of the fight. One of the quotes below is from CNN. The other is from Aljazeera.com. Can you tell which is which? It should be pretty easy. Number one:
Number two:
Which do you think came from Aljazeera.com? Quote number two came from Aljazeera.com. On a day when it seems very likely that terrorists struck at targets in Damascus, the news organization is pointing fingers at coalition special ops forces. Since much of the Arab world trusts Aljazeera more than they do any American news outlet, the story that they will believe is the one in which "foreign special forces" were attacking various diplomatic buildings in Damascus--where extremist Muslim terrorists are blameless and the American-led coalition are working at evil plots. This level of dishonesty and bias isn't new information, I realize, but it is an excellent example of why I donated to the Victory Coalition. The view of events that I want the Middle East to see is not that one advocated by Aljazeera. If you agree, this might be an excellent time to send in your own donation. Read the CNN story. Comments
if by "Foreign Special Forces" they meant terrorists next door, then I guess they're right.
