resurrectionsongApril 17, 2004Good SeriesThe Avs-Stars final score of 5-1 was a little misleading. One goal came on empty net, and, up until the beginning of the third, the score was 2-1 in a really tight game. Watching the Stars doing the post-game (and post-series) handshake, I was impressed by their poise and their class. This game in particular was controlled by a strong Avs defense, the aggressive play of Peter Forsberg, and David Aebischer's continued excellent play in net. A nice surprise for Avs fans is how well Svatos scraps and handles the puck--I hope we continue to see him getting ice time. Even though the Avs managed to close it out in five games, this entire series felt close from beginning to end. Posted by zombyboy at April 17, 2004 04:02 PM | TrackBackComments
The worst thing the stars ever did was get rid of Ken Hitchcock and Bob Gainey. A five-game Stars-Avs series is unheard of! Too bad we couldn't dredge up a few more old hacks who don't have a ring yet for our front line. ;-) Posted by: bryan at April 17, 2004 06:28 PMPost a comment
