resurrectionsongApril 13, 2004The Daily Kos: Only Getting WorseOne of the worst aspects of racial and gender politics in the US is the left's conviction that any minority or woman who is Republican is a sell out or a traitor of some kind. The thought is offensive and flawed on it's very face, but it even worse when compounded by obviously racist, inflammatory statements like this one: Uncle Tom Powell Stumps for Massah Bush. Kos didn't post it, but he does have some level of responsibility for those things that are posted on his site. Someone, quick, tell me precisely when I should take anything the left says seriously anymore? It's taking all of my effort to keep my outrage at a slow burn at this point. The thing that makes me most sad about Kos' posts (or the ones that he allows) is that he claims the name of Christ, to be a follower of Him, and yet he so lacks decorum and kindness. Political discussions raise the inner ire of any person, but to be so venomous and personal... I simply can't understand it.
