Offensive?

Is there something offensive about sellers on eBay offering for sale a boat that was used to transport Cuban refugees? In the comments section of Val's post on just that subject, I offered up this opinion:

I have no idea what to say about that, either. I think I'm offended by someone making a curio out of what is really a symbol of peoples' desire for freedom and hope.

I think that's what I'm feeling.
