How stupid can you be to support Zel Miller? He's the jerk that provided classical music to families with newborns because of the association of classical music and higher intellectual effort. Association isn't causation, so he was pushing a government giveaway for something of dubious value.

Now he's supporting Bush-Cheney (another dubious value) despite the administration's inept handling of the invasion of Afghanistan and stupid foray into Iraq. Yeah, Sadam is an S.O.B., but you could have benefited far more by fighting malaria and AIDs in Africa than Sadam. In the meantime, Bin Laden and his band of killers have had time to morph Al Qaeda into a truly international, multiheaded monster. We've even supplied him with unlimited recruits by the invasion of Iraq and our poor handling of the occupation (like Abu Gharib). I guess only a dumbass that would still support Bush after all of this could possibly love Zel Miller.

After listening to America's finest at the DNC this week, I was wondering about something. Perhaps my opinion is tainted, not taint, just tainted. A number of statements were made and one stands out more than the others

Bush was called the “great divider, being the most divisive president ever”. If I remember correctly, we were one country, united after 911. The great divide started when the group of people that lost control of the US last election started accusing the president of a number of things that were unproven to date. Was this done intentionally to start the road to recovering their power at the next election? Was the main thought, “We must divide and conquer!”? It seems to me that the dividing of America was due to the anti-Bush statements made over the last two years, slowly convincing average Americans to doubt the wisdom and sincerity of our leader. President Bush had amazingly high numbers in the polls after 911 and that could not have been a good thing for the group wanting their power back next election. They would have to slowly turn the public’s loyalty away from the current leaders.

If it were possible to go back and “timeline” the poll numbers and accusations, I believe that there is a direct correlation and an answer to where the divisiveness is truly from. It is interesting to me that the Democratic leadership and our bigger allies were all behind the war effort and all voted in favor and then at the same time, all opted out and were violently opposed. Why? Who made the decision and then spread the opinion to the others? Was it the Democratic leadership? Did they see an opportunity to discredit the leadership to insure a republican loss at the next election? Did they convince the French, Germans and Russians?

If the democrats are so outraged that the republicans stole the vote, then why is the VP that lost that election is siding with Bush on his Iraq decision? Shouldn’t he be the most outraged? Instead, he is very much against what his fellow democrats are doing. He must have morals and a conscience. Are the democrats willing to have America torn apart to reinstate their power? Research what their colleagues Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman say about the subject. Did you notice that Lieberman was not asked to speak at the DNC?

The democrats have leveled accusations for two years against Bush. None have been proven and none have merit. Most of the accusations are indefensible. How can you prove that you didn’t do something? I believe that this attack for the last two years was scripted and delivered flawlessly. If you accuse someone of numerous immoral and/or selfish acts and repeat the message endlessly, the general population will start making a connection between that person and wrongdoings. It is no wonder that Bush’s poll numbers are low. Kerry is not loved, Bush is just hated and not for what he has or has not done, but because of what divisive democrats have done. They have driven a wedge between Americans that are intelligent enough to see the truth and the ones that can’t.

I was surfing up info on Zel Miller and found this site. I cannot believe how Americans tolerate being let around by the nose ring buy the political process you live under. Hey you only have two political parties to choose form because any more would be too confusing for your average citizen. Then you're unhappy if the opposing parties express opposing views. Zell is a well spoken, well-red,intelligent man who has seen 70 years of American history which includes a once pro-Amercian Democratic party. It must sadden him as it did my Grandfather, rest in peace, that this party has gone so far away from any moral epicenter that it would turn America into the next Sodom and Gamorrah (sorry bad speller).
To say all the issues including a tough economy and health care is all Bush's fault is not very thought out. Buch inherited an economy already moving into recession exasperated by an act of war on our native soil and corporate scandal. Any one who has ever had at least one economic class understand that the economies cycle and change. The Democratics have a selective memory of forgetting what Reagan/Bush had to do to fix the democratized ecomomy 25 years ago-Reagan had to work with industry moving overseas such as the auto industry....Bush has to deal with outsourcing. It's a tough painful and sometimes slow process but in the end, his economic policies will work. We must pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.......

But I must point out that you are incorrect in the statement that Bush took over with a clean slate. the National Debt was 3.6 trillion when Clinton took over and he did slow the large deficits that were to take place. His tax policies did stem the rising tide but it did not lower or erase the NATIONAL DEBT. There are many sites that have this information on the web. There is a difference and you are confusing the terms and people who would read these boards. The Debt was 5.8 trillion when Clinton left office (mostly due to interest on the already borrowed money). It did go up and admittedly not as much as it would have. I give you that point. I would however point to the corruption and the euphoria that was going on in the stock market. Many were under the ussumption that they were making a lot of money in the stocks (and sending in alot of that money to the government in taxes.) But we all have seen where that got us. Conclusion - BUSH Always knew about 9-11 but did nothing to stop it because he knew that in the time of fear upon his nation he could manipulate the minds of the american people to believe anything that came out of his mouth, or anybody from his administration.
