I Admire His Enthusiasm...

...but he should probably be more careful in target identification.

A French artist allegedly traumatized by last week's Spain bombings was convicted of trying to run over a pedestrian he mistook for Osama bin Laden and ordered to pay the man $615.

The 35-year-old defendant, identified as Pierre, was sentenced Tuesday by a court in this southern France city to a three-month suspended prison term. The man he tried to run over was unharmed.

Apparently, there is still some fire in that national French belly. Although decision making abilities are still lacking...

What isn't this guy doing in the French army? He's willing to attack, easily startled, and his aim sucks.

Heck, even with Vichy's choice of sides in the war on terror, bin Laden's not likely to go strolling through downtown Paris anytime soon. Anyone who sees someone like bin Laden walking around in the open in a widely populated area (let alone one far from Afghanistan!) should think to himself: Nahhhh.

Oh well. At least he didn't pull over and surrender.
