Last Madrid Post for the Day

I'm trying to break away from both the mood that the terrorist attack in Spain has left me in and from drowning this site in posts about the same topic. But Darren is seeing something on the Metro Networks Wire that bears repeating--this was left in the comments section of the "Not ETA?" post below.

This just came across the Metro Networks Wire. Typepad seems to be down but here is the story. Run With this please.

A letter allegedly from the al-Qaeda terror network said a big attack on the U.S. was in the final stages of preparations. The letter, which was signed by Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades, said quote, "We bring the good news to Muslims of the world the expected 'Winds of Black Death' strike against America is now in its final stage... 90-percent (ready) and God willing near." The letter was sent to a London-based Arabic newspaper.

These are the guys claiming responsibility for the Madrid attack.

And someone tell me why we would dare let someone like Kerry turn the War on Terror into another Clintonian cruise missile, empty rhetoric, and UN grovel fest?

We are in the middle of a war. We might do well to remember that from time to time.

Just last night, while skimming Time, I had a sudden and terrible fear that Kerry might just win and I became momentarily horrified and afraid.

I immediately put it out of my mind and told myself sweet little stories of my childhood (abounding with Republican presidents) and forced the fear to go hide somewhere for another, uh, 237 days(?).

I heard this on the radio on my way home from work, and it scared hell out of me. The sick feeling in the pit of my stomach was made worse by thinking about the prospect of a Kerry presidency in what is decidedly a dangerous world today.

Unfortunatly, people are starting to beleive that action against terrorist only increase their attacks. This can be seen with the results of the Spanish elections.

If this is true, why did they attack us after 8 years of non-aggresion against terorists?

Kerry would cause a new rise in terrorism against Americans.

The best comment I have heard is:

"In that part of the world, if someone slaps you in the face, and you don't slap them back, they think it is okay to slap you"

We need a president who is not afraid to slap them back, or slap them, before they have a chance to slap us.
