Lung Cancer Vaccine

It was a small study, and it's results were far from conclusive, but the potential of a lung cancer vaccine that helps the body recognize and fight cancerous cells is tremendous. As a treatment, it would be almost immeasurably better than chemotherapy which loads the body with poisons. Having watched a friend go through chemo, while cancer ate away at his body, I can attest to the horrors.

Experts have developed a vaccine which could be used to block the progress of lung cancer.

A small study has suggested it could delay the recurrence of tumours in patients with the most common form of cancer.

Whenever someone complains about the cost of health care, ask them how much they would pay for a chance at life if they were diagnosed with lung cancer. Ask them what price would be too high for the opportunity to continue to live.

I am continually astounded by medical technology. The cost may be high, but their knowledge borders on the miraculous.

Read the story.

I love medical technology and big pharma. The simplest thing, like Zyrtec D for my allergies, makes my life so much more pleasant. From Zyrtec, to new surgeries and new treatments for cancer, it all amazes me. You might ask, "Zyrtec? Patrick I'm talking a treatment for lung cancer, dude!" I know, I know. I just see it all as one big progressive, amazing "industry." God, I'm glad I live in the 21st century.

Heh. I'm a pharmaLuddite. I have to be bleeding from the ears before a headache deserves an ibu-profen from me.
