Jayne, I felt a little twinge when Rock wore the poncho, too. A little hypocritically, I decided to give him a pass since he's one of the few artists who has vocally supported the troops and the president.

Like I said, a little hypocritical, because I probably would've been pretty pissed if the Dixie Chicks wore the same thing.

I was honestly surprised by the controversy over Kid Rock's attire. I didn't find the flag poncho any more offensive than I find flag t-shirts or flag fanny packs or the like. Maybe I'm missing something.

Ok, now I see what you mean. Something I posted yesterday made it to number 2 for a certain set of google search terms and I've been experiencing a minor googlanche for the last 4 hours.

Re Kid Rock: We are not fans, could hardly understand his lyrics and our reaction to the flag was that it would unnecessarily offend large numbers of folks.
