About Those Weblog Awards...

If you're interested in the Wizbang Blog Awards, then this is how it's going so far:

AfricaBlog is doing respectably in the Best Looking Blog category. I'm a little surprised and exceptionally gratified. AB was pruned from the Flappy Bird category when they snipped the number of entries down to 20. I'm not complaining--and I'm still greatly appreciative of the fact that I was nominated to begin with.

ResurrectionSong is getting its bottom kicked in the Large Mammal award category. Ouch. Well, if you are so inclined to vote, I would appreciate the bump, but the competition is good. I'd suggest, if you aren't voting for me, to vote for MTPolitics, Tiger, XRLQ, Jay Solo, or BlogoSFERICS.

This contest is wonderful, if for no other reason than I have learned of so many great blogs. I was already aware of this one (from having received a link a while back), but I have visited more frequently since seeing your blog in the Large Mammals list, and I have learned of many others in the process. Great stuff.

That's been the nicest thing about the contest in my mind, as well. It's amazing just how much good writing there is out there in the 'sphere.

Just poking through the Mammal section of the ecosystem, I'm amazed at some of the blogs that didn't even get nominated.
