State of the Blog

This month drawing to a close marks yet another month of growth in both visits and individual visitors for ResurrectionSong. I think that is more a reflection of the people who comment here than it is any reflection on my writing--so thanks for keeping the conversations lively, folks.

The top 10 referrers, to whom I owe much thanks, were:

  1. Electric Venom. Kate, in a very short amount of time, has managed to lay claim to being one of the more impressive bloggers in our part of the 'sphere. Thanks for continuing to send people my way.
  2. The Accidental Jedi. My buddy--and she encourages people to visit. Isn't she great?
  3. Across the Atlantic. Thanks to both Shell and the Group Captain both for the notice and for the great blog.
  4. Walter in Denver. The best damned Denver Libertarian blog that you're likely to find. And now that he isn't as busy golfing, he's finding time to post more regularly and more extensively. You really should be reading his work.
  5. Vodka Pundit. It's all about the alcohol consumption...
  6. Brain Fertilizer. Our good friend Nathan. If you haven't been reading him lately, you've been missing his absolute best work.
  7. Commentary du Jour. One of my two favorite lefty blogger sites--and a wonderful person. Thanks, Jo!
  8. Zogby Blog. One of my recent additions to the blogroll, and one of my personal favorites.
  9. MT Politics. Everyone already knows how high my opinion of Craig is, right?
  10. Babalu Blog. A great all around blog; indispensable if you are interested in Cuba. Now, if only I could convince them to take me to see the Mouse...

These are not the only sites that sent me traffic or links--and I want to thank you all.

The top 10 most accessed articles were:

  1. The Beatles. Naked. Not surprising as this was considered by many to be a very important re-think of the Beatles' classic album Let it Be.
  2. Foo Fighters Fun. Amazingly, people seem to be very interested in the Foo Fighters covering old Prince tunes.
  3. Pantheon of Cool Nicknames. Misguided souls continue to pour in from around the world in an attempt to find a cool nickname.
  4. Yet Another "The Matrix Revolutions" Review (StumpJumper). Not terribly surprising: a good review and one of the most wildly anticipated movie openings of the year.
  5. These Are a Few of My Favorite Things. Yeah, okay, again I'd like to say, "Sorry about that."
  6. Rocky Mountain Blogger Bash v2.75. What can I say? People like to drink...
  7. Wesley Clark: A Reason to Hate Michael Moore. This mildly misnamed post continues to be a good draw--but has been slowly overtaken by the anti-Bush crowd. I stopped wanting to argue with people who don't bother listening a long time ago, though...
  8. Wesley Clark: Gay Rights. What can I say? Wesley remains an impressive draw even though his campaign seems to have stalled dramatically.
  9. Zomby-centricism (Or Something Like It). Which is surprising. And gratifying.
  10. Animal Rights? One of my favorite conversations to ever take place on this site. Again, gratifying.

Heheh. Next time I'll have a special category just for you, just so you know how much you're loved.
