A Beautiful Thing

Beauty, to me, doesn't require perfection or joy or happiness or light. Some of the most beautiful things to me are the most honest--imperfect in form, dark, but emotionally honest.

I forgot, yesterday, to post this link, and I'd like to make up for it today. This link is to one of the most beautiful things I've even read--and, for most of us, something that has a thread that runs through our own life.

No, we may not know the faces and the names involved, but the emotions and the moments could have been ours at one time or another.

Stephen may not post often enough for my taste--and, sometimes, I may wish for something more from his blog. When he hits it right, though, his writing and honesty are a reflection of what we all aspire to with our blogs: something of lasting importance and meaning.

Read it for the emotional honesty, read it for the reflection, read it for the beauty of the words.
