Stupid Freakin' Asshat Damned Email Program

Just on a whim, just 'cause it felt like it, just on general damned principle, Apple's Mail program just deleted all of the emails from my Earthlink account in box. Seven hundred freakin' emails gone.

Just gone.

Not for any good reason. Just gone.

Work, personal, stupid jokes, annoying people, gone gone gone.

If there were something unbreakable around, I'd hit it.

Damnit.

OUCH!

That sucks!

Yeah, my brother was urging me to move all my mail to MAIL, but then he called back a week later and said, "DON'T DO IT!", but never explained exactly why. I wonder if a similar thing happened to him.

This is the first time I've had any problems with it--but this problem is a pretty big one. I'll probably migrate everything to Microsoft Entourage now.

Damn.

Go search in the Bermuda Triangle, you might find them there.

Eww, that stings. :/

I've had Hotmail eradicate all the archives in an old address, and I've lost two hard drives. It's like a physical beating followed by a feeling like what Clark Kent feels when he gets around kryptonite. I'm a backup monster now.

No way on earth to recover the data?

Don't think so, but I'm not sure. I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth it or not--hell, the only reason I keep the Earthlink account is because there are people that have been using that email address for something like 8 years. All I need to do is tell some people to use another address and I can close the damned account, anyway.

You must be lying. Apple software NEVER does anything wrong.

Or maybe you shouldn't have had all those e-mails coming in in the first place. They were probably from moral reprobates like ... well, like me.

I use Entourage and have found it to be reliable, functional and efficient. And the sounds are inoffensive, which is always a plus.
