resurrectionsongAugust 07, 2003My, What a Big, Uh, Camera You Have...Shaun Irving built a camera. A big, big camera. Using the same principles that children use to build pinhole cameras (usually out of one of those round Quaker Instant Oats containers), Irving converted the cargo area of an old mail delivery truck into a camera that takes giant-sized pictures. How big are the pictures? The photo paper he buys comes in 4' x 100' rolls. Why did he do this?

I'm not sure what is more disturbing: the fact that he built a gigantic pinhole camera, the fact that he actually took time to name it, or the fact that he named it "Peanut." If it were "CamZilla" or something like that, I can see, but "Peanut?" Posted by: mtpolitics at August 7, 2003 10:34 AMCamZilla. Damn. Why didn't I think of that? Posted by: zombyboy at August 7, 2003 10:36 AMMaybe because your dad didn't win free tickets to a monster truck rally that happened to feature TruckZilla, which made such an impression on you that you now think "-zilla" is an acceptable suffix to denote largeness? I'm just saying. Posted by: mtpolitics at August 7, 2003 11:07 AMI have a filthy mind. I won't say anymore except "condomzilla" is involved. Not that I'm bragging... Posted by: McGehee at August 7, 2003 11:14 AMZombyzilla? Hmmm.. McG: I refer you to the previous posting by StumpJumper. "Size-zilla Does Matter." Or something like that... Posted by: zombyboy at August 7, 2003 11:30 AMIs this what the band Rush meant by "Living in the Fish-Eye Lens"? Posted by: nathan at August 7, 2003 02:17 PMAnd I thought he was just glad to see me.
