AfricaBlog is Opening for Business

AfricaBlog is up and almost ready to roll. There are a few tweaks that I still need to make, but the bulk of the heavy lifting is done. I have a core of contributors in place and will be sending out invitations to others over the course of the next week.

I like the look of the new place, and I'm looking forward to working with the contributors to make it something special.

If you are listed in the "Contributors" on the side of the blog, be looking for your welcome package in the mail hopefully on Sunday evening. It will have instructions for logging in (your accounts are created) and some light writer's guidelines. Thanks for putting yourselves forward to help out with this--this is going to be good.

I was just about to pester you about this project. I can see why it took awhile -- as others have noted, the site looks great.
